Join us for a 2-day workshop celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the E.A. Milne Centre for Astrophysics at Hull. We are delighted to host a two day conference highlighting cutting-edge research in astrophysics in partnership with the Royal Astronomical Society.

Extragalactic astrophysics and galaxy evolution are hot topics in astrophysics. With recent and upcoming surveys and experiments such as Rubin Observatory/LSST, the Square Kilometre Array, KM3NeT, as well as state of the art simulation suites such as COLIBRE, Horizon-AGN and FIRE, this is a perfect opportunity for the UK community to get together, share our current knowledge and plan further progress. This will be a space for discussion, developing networks and fostering collaboration between researchers from institutions across the country. PhD students and early career researchers are particularly encouraged to submit abstracts; we will be offering both spots for both oral and poster presentations. There will also be refreshment breaks throughout the day to provide a time to network and discuss ideas.

Please use the links at the top of the page for information regarding abstract submission, registration (including conference fees), travel, code of conduct and information regarding communication and the scientific programme.

Guidelines for presenters:
Talks will be 15 minutes (12 minute presentation + 3 minutes for questions).
Posters should be A0 (portrait) or A1 (any orientation).

Please follow the programme link for the preliminary scientific programme.

Public event:
We are also currently advertising the public event scheduled on the evening of Wednesday 21st January. Dr. Elke Roediger will be presenting a talk on galaxy evolution and formation suitable for the general public, followed by an astrophysics ‘Ask Me Anything’ panel discussion. If you are attending the conference and travelling to Hull the day prior, please consider coming along!
